Wakefield Estate Shiraz
A soft and fleshy shiraz boasting a lively palate of juicy red berry fruits, plum and spice, along with subtle chocolate hints.
The wine has a seductive, lifted aroma characterised by plum, blackcurrant and dark cherry fruits along with subtle chocolate and a touch of oak derived spice. The palate is rich, luscious and round with intense, perfectly ripened fruit characters. Mocha coffee and subtle spice characters complement generous fruit flavours of plum and blackberry. The wine is medium to full-bodied with a soft mid-palate and supple tannins. It has a well balanced structure with great texture, good length and lashings of fruit on the finish.
Tasted recently. Amazing concentration of flavour. warm ripe black fruit with good spice to finish.

Super red wine !
Good tasting red wine. Goes well with meaty dinners but I enjoy mine with veggie creations to. My favourite combo is with a strong blue cheese !

Top quality Wakefield (Taylor’s in Australia, but the name clashes with the tea, beer and port) Shiraz. I always grab a few of these whenever they’re in stock and I’m in the shop. The go-to £10-£12 wine; I love heavy spicy reds, and this meets the mark. It’s as good as many at twice the price
