Villa Maria Seaspray Sauvignon Blanc
Flavours of kaffir lime, capsicum and freshly picked culinary herbs. Another great Sauvignon from the Villa Maria stable.
The Seaspray Sauvignon Blanc has distinctive briny seashell characters and lively acidity derived from the nearby oceanic influence. Flavours of kaffir lime, capsicum and freshly picked culinary herbs represent the cooler windy coastal Awatere sub region in Marlborough where these young Sauvignon Blanc vines struggle to grow in the sandy river gravel soil.
Seaspray Vineyard lies against the rugged eastern coastline of the Awatere Valley where the fresh ocean air slows the growing season to develop Sauvignon Blanc of incredible power and concentration. The vines are still young, so we expect the wines intensity to only increase as the vineyard reaches maturity.

The Vineyard
George Fistonich was only 21 years old when he started this wine label.
He got 5 acres of land in Mangere, Auckland, from his father, and set
about to give wings to his winemaking passion. The very next year, he
made his first wine from the grapes planted on this land, and he named
the wine, Villa Maria.

Great service and communication - however the screw top of one of the bottles was damaged and so had slightly leaked out onto the box and label of another bottle within the packaging. They were a gift so was slightly disappointed. Emailed the company with pictures ( as their communication states to let them know if doesn't reach you in perfect condition ) and had no acknowledgement.
