Bunnahabhain 10 Year Old - Discovery Whisky
The Islay whisky was aged for a decade and bottled for the Discovery series at 43% ABV. The bottling series is colour coded, so this we can tell from this expression that it's got a 'smoky' flavour profile, which is unusual for a Bunnahabhain.
Nose Ground almond, tinned pear and salted caramel, with an aromatic smoky note running through alongside a hint of vanilla.
Palate Key lime pie, toffee apple, oak char, anise and smoky bonfire embers.
Finish Lemon peel and warming nutmeg and ginger, with just a hint of persisting smoke.
