La Voja means ‘the way’ in Esperanto. Grapes are sourced from San Patricio del Chañar and from Mainque. The harvest is done by hand in boxes of 20 kg. Fermentation takes place with 10% whole bunches and 10% stems at a temperature of 25-28 ºC. With only very soft pisonages and remontages for polyphenol extraction, the maceration lasts 10 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in 100% French used barrels. The wine rests in the same barrels for 9 months before being bottled.

I'm not the biggest PN fan but I was tempted by Daf's recommendation and the kind offer, so I took a punt. It confirms my view on PN being too light for my palate, it may suit yours. It was surprisingly brown in colour for a 4yr old wine and lacking some joie de vivre. If I'd spent £20 I'd have been pretty miffed, at a tenner...it was educational. edit: was this potentially a lightly corked example?
